SDG 16+ Coalition Events
Pre-Launch of SDG 16+ Report
Having spent months collecting contributions from experts, stakeholders and practitioners through technical and online consultations, and examining country case studies and existing analyses, the coalition's SDG 16+ Report is ready to be released.
The Report is to be released parallel with HLPF 2019 to advise the discussions and review of SDG 16. The pre-launch of the report will be presented in New York on 10th July.
"SDG 16+ and the Future We Want"
A coalition of SDG 16+ champions will be hosting an HLPF Side-Event, SDG 16+ and the Future We Want on 16th July. This event expands upon SDG 16+ as highlighting two fundamental principles of the 2030 Agenda - 'universality' and 'leave no one behind'.
In doing so, the side-event aims to:
- Highlight the importance of SDG 16+, its interlinkages to all SDGs, and as an enabler of the 2030 Agenda.
- Celebrate successful national experiences of SDG 16+ in action - including as highlighted in the VNRs.
- Galvanise political will and forward-looking, multi-stakeholder commitments to accelerate the SDG 16+ implementation in the next four-year cycle of the 2030 Agenda.
