Experiences during early childhood shape the very architecture of the developing brain, establishing the foundation for future learning, behavior, and well-being. To achieve the SDGs, the world cannot afford to neglect a critical window of opportunity to address the “triple nexus” of humanitarian response, sustainable development, and peace and security by underinvesting in the early years. This side event will highlight contributions of quality early childhood development programming to achieving SDG 4, SDG 16, and many others.
