High-level Political Forum 2021

The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) is the core United Nations platform for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (the 2030 Agenda) and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In 2021, the meeting of the HLPF will be held 6 - 15 July 2021, under the theme "Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that promotes the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development: building an inclusive and effective path for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development".

As well as SDG 16 being under review for the second time in 2021, it is critical to consider its interlinkages when reviewing other SDGs and the 2030 Agenda as a whole.

In 2021 the thematic review of the SDGs will take place in clusters. SDG 16 will be reviewed together with SDGs 3, 10, and 17 on Thursday 8 July 9:00-12:15 a.m. under the theme “How do we get on track for building more peaceful, equal and inclusive societies.”
