The Global Alliance for Reporting Progress on Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies

 

ga WHAT: The Global Alliance for Reporting Progress on Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies is a coordinating platform for UN Member States, private sector, civil society and UN Agencies to promote and strengthen evidence based reporting, monitoring and measurement of Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16).

ga WHY: Evidence shows that monitoring and reporting is critical to drive action on the SDGs. The Global Alliance seeks to help countries gather the evidence and determine the action needed for transformative change by drawing together stakeholders and data from all parts of government, civil society, youth, and the private sector.

ga WHO: The Global Alliance is operated by 8 Member States, 3 Civil society organisations, and 3 private sector companies that make up the Steering Committee. Its work is further supported and facilitated by a Secretariat co-facilitated by 7 UN Agencies

ga HOW TO: The Global Alliance offers various resources to support Member States in reporting and monitoring on SDG 16, such as:
