Participants at this event will discuss how countries can use strategic visioning and effective long-term planning to deliver on their SDG commitments. The event will consist of two high-level panels on ‘Long-term Pathways for the SDGs’ and ‘Leveraging Public Management Systems for Delivering on the SDGs’. Speakers will highlight opportunities and challenges to creating more evidence-based policies for sustainable development and the role that public management systems (e.g., public budgeting, procurement, and human resource management) can play in ensuring lasting inclusiveness and equality.
