The Regional Technical Workshop will explore how countries are making progress in the implementation of SDG 16 targets, and how they are dealing with structural challenges, taking into account where relevant the human rights development linkages. The workshop will also discuss and consider how these practices, lessons and experiences can be replicated in other development contexts. In doing so, the workshop will aim to answer the following questions:
- What are the trends, good practices and challenges in implementing, monitoring, and reporting on SDG 16+?
- What has been the role of different actors – government, private sector, civil society, the United Nations, etc. in accelerating SDG 16 implementation?
- What are some recommendations for policy makers on how to accelerate progress on SDG 16 implementation, monitoring and reporting?
