COVID-19 Socioeconomic Recovery Data Insights Platform

SDG 16 Hub • 4 November 2020
“The COVID-19 Socioeconomic Recovery Data Insights Platform pulls together data from the UN system, nonprofit partners, academia, development partners and countries around the world. Interactive tools provide unique opportunities for data analysis, insights identification, and collaboration around strategies and solutions. Analytics and data presented will dynamically evolve, responding to different questions that arise as the situation changes.”

“As technical lead of the socio-economic response, UNDP brings together this Covid-19 Socio-economic Recovery Data Insight Platform. The platform is a collection of data, analysis, visualizations, insights, and interactive tools that can support the analysis of strategic policy questions in the five areas of Policies and Programmes, in alignment with the ‘UN framework for the immediate socio-economic response to Covid-19’ – Health First, Protect People, Economic Recovery, Macro Response and Social Cohesion. Data is integrated from various trusted sources, including data collected by or supported by UNDP and other UN Agencies, Governments, and development partners. The platform will also feature existing dashboards, integrating indicators, insights, and knowledge products.

The intent of this platform is to support our societies to not only recover from this crisis, but to build into a better world toward 2030. Framing and data will likely to evolve over the next 18 months of recovery phase as the situation dynamically change.”
